Sam Loomis Hardware was a hardware store in Fairvale, California. It was owned by Sam Loomis. Like many businesses of the time, there was personalized stationary made for the store which was presumably used in business correspondence to give a professional air. The store seemed to offer a wide selection of hardware and goods for the home, although the boss' office was rather cramped and spartan in appearance.
The store employed a clerk named Bob Summerfield. Bob was selling insect poison to a customer when Lila Crane visited the store to meet Sam Loomis and ask him about the disappearance of Marion Crane.
