She didn't have an opportunity to attend college because of her dad's death due to the car crash. She attended a one year trade school and after that she was providing for her sister and mom. When she was 22 years old she wanted to marry Dale Belter, but he was sent to Hawaii as a soldier. Then he met another woman and he stopped responding to Mary's letters. Mary was a great sister to Lila and insisted her to go to college, which she did.
Mary wanted a better future for Lila even if it meant that she will have to provide for her mother by herself. She never had free time for herself, she was a really hard working person. Soon after that, her mom died and Lila started looking for a job. Lila was a big support for Mary and wanted her to rest after all of these hard years. She recommended that she go on a cruise, which she did. That's when Mary met Sam Loomis, the absolute love of her life. They hit it off from the beginning. Mary really wanted to marry him but he was in debt. She couldn't wait 2 more years and in madness she stole 40 thousands dollars from her boss. She escaped with them to meet Sam Loomis and marry him but got lost on a trip to Fairvale. Woman spent a night in Bates Motel, which was the last night of her life.
